warranty as standard.
Although we use Dell products as the preferred
option, we can also provide custom built hardware
if you prefer.

Having had extensive experience with products from a
range of server manufacturers, it is our opinion
that Dell servers offer the quality of build one
would expect to see for a professional business

Not all servers are built to the same specification.
Care should be taken that hardware configurations
are the same when comparing prices for the 'same'
model of server from different companies.

enable us to provide you with a complete Dell

WORKSTATIONS
In our opinion, Dell
produce some of the finest client workstations.
They are robustly built and look great. However, it
doesn't stop on the exterior - the internal design
is just as good. Most internal repairs don't require
a screwdriver as parts have clip fittings for easy
replacement. These systems are designed with support

NAS STORAGE DEVICES
NAS is an acronym for
Network Attached Storage. A NAS provides multiple
users (or multiple servers) direct access to a large
centralized storage facility at high speed with
minimum overheads.
This access is
provided without the need for numerous dedicated
file servers and their associated overheads and
costs.
BACKUP DEVICES
It is vitally important for any business to be able
to restore a system back to the exact state it was
in directly before a serious fault. Many people
neglect this basic IT requirement as serious
breakdowns are not common occurrences.
Expandable IT have
dealt with numerous clients who have had (for
example), a hard disk failure or software corruption
and the server has had to be repaired or even
rebuilt. this is when you realise the importance of
a reliable backup strategy.
We recommend that at
least one daily backup should be taken, to ensure
that any impact on business continuity is minimised.
Backup options vary,
and are dependant upon the type and quantity of
servers you need to be backed up. Tower servers (for
example), could have a tape drive installed into the
actual chassis, or could be backed up remotely to a
rack-mounted backup device. Rackmount servers on the
other hand, have no space for a drive to be fitted
internally, and so could be directly attached to a
rackmount tape drive in the same rack or again
backed up remotely.
Dell autoloaders
allow for multiple tapes to be loaded into the
drive. This then enables you to backup servers with
large disks across multiple tapes, multiple servers
with smaller hard disks or one server for multiple
days - reducing physical administration.
